Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being.
What does Reiki mean?
”Rei” means universal wisdom and “ki” means life force energy.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique that has been passed from Master to Master through a long oral Reiki lineage which goes right back to Dr Usui himself. Dr Usui re-discovered Reiki around 1922. Reiki is used on people for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by a passage of gently “laying on” of hands at the main points of the body.
