Even though most days some little miracles happen. I only seem to share the bigger stories. š
Here is today’s:
We have had our original sofa for 9 years so we are totally due a new one. Iāve put together my vision book for things like this. I printed off the image of a sofa that we liked but it was pretty expensive at Ā£2,158 with delivery. So I spent 2 weeks being grateful for the sofa we already have and also spent some time visualising the new sofa in our living room.
The night before last as I was fast forwarding adverts (as you do lol) and I saw that the sofa shop had a flash sale. So I told Dave (my husband) that I would call them the next day to see if the sofa had gone down in price. He agreed.
So the next day I call them up and they offered us a discount and it brought the sofa down to Ā£1,924 this was still over our budget, and Dave just wasnāt happy to pay this for a sofa. So I sent him a message saying something along the lines of āif I call them and ask for Ā£1,850 and they say yes. How about then?ā Dave didnāt respond. I was convinced I could get the sofa for this price. When Dave got home from work we talked about it and measured our room once again to be sure it would fit. I had this gut instinct and idea to call the company in a different region. So I googled their shops around the country and I was drawn to one, so I called them for a price of the exact sofa we want. With very little hesitation the sales guy offered us the sofa for…. yep Ā£1,850 (I was so happy as it was even closer to our budget) I wanted to be sure I had a good deal so then called 5 other stores and their prices were nowhere near this price. Ā The Cheltenham store were beside themselves with shock and I even think they thought I was lying when I asked them to price match what I was offered. They tried to pull out all the stops and still they couldnāt match that offer.
It wasnāt until this morning when my husband sent me a text saying ādid you see your last message….?ā I had totally forgotten that I had sent that and clearly I was meeting the law of attraction (it could have been any figure! But it wasnāt. It was the figure that I requested and was willing to pay)
